The
Lazy N Ranch |
This quaint and rather rustic limestone
"3Bay" Federal style homestead, is a true slice of Kansas
heritage! In 1878 John Ekart purchased
the property and built the stone house. In 1907 John's son Anton
built the spring house where his name is still inscribed in the
concrete. In 1911 the Irvine brothers George and twins Alex & Dave acquired
the property and lived there until the 1930's. The house sat empty
for 35 years until 1963 when it was purchased by
the McCoy's & restoration commenced. The house was
purchased by the Nelsons in 2002 where Dave and Mary Jo have made
extensive improvements. Today, it is called "The Irvine Place".
